I have a 2008 2500HD Silverado with an Edge Insight and Edge backup camera. I get lines in the screen from interference from the trucks charging system. I did all kinds of troubleshooting and I finally found if I change the cameras power supply to a separate battery (I used a 9V for testing) the problem is gone. Edge sent me an entirely new camera as part of my initial troublshooting so there is no problems at all with any wiring whatsoever and the display didn't change one bit when I installed the new camera and wiring.
The truck starts fine and has no problem charging. The batteries appear to be newer (truck is new to me since September). Is there something simple I can do to "absorb" the interference without jerry rigging a battery just for my camera.

Make sure that the ground for the components is to the vehicle's chassis and not the truck bed. It could also be the position the cables are routed. Try routing the cables or temporary ones outside the vehicle to see if that helps.

If you power the camera and monitor directly to the battery, is the interference still present? If not, you may need to use a relay to get a solid power feed to the devices.
Ground the camera to the chassis of the truck as close to the camera as physically possible.
The monitor (gauge) is powered through the OBD-II connector so I can't answer that.
The power/ground/signal is all in one cable from the camera to the front of the truck. There isn't any way to separately ground the camera.
