I lost my extension wire for the Pioneer speed sensor wire (VSS) for the AVIC N2. So I was just gonna make a jumper and looking at my instructions it seems to have a fuse resistor inline. Anybody happen to know the value of that resistor so I can just make a jumper? I thought it might be the same as the ones behind the H/U which are 1K OHM 5%, but I cannot seem to find any at lcal electronic stores, the only thing I find is 1K Ohm 2%. Any ideas guys?

A 1K 2% is a better resistor than a 5%. Although I have no idea of the value of the speed sense resistor, it may or may not be the same as the resistor in the red wire. It is not needed. It is only there in case there is a problem with the deck that it will not affect the pulses on the wire. I have no idea what kind of deck failure would ground that wire and keep your speedo from working, but that is the only purpose of the resistor.

There were a couple wires that had the same resistor on the back of the deck and I know how manufacturers like to not spend extra money so I figured it was all the same.

Thanks
