took this kvt-911dvd unit out of my hummer an let it sit for 4 months til i got my civic running. i installed it and now the screen isnt working. the reset button is glowing red but i cant find any information on what that may mean. when i reset the unit with that button the screen flashes on then right off. need some help figuring this out because id love to be able to tune the stereo and see the radio stations and ect.

When you say the screen isn't working, do you mean it won't pop out or just stays black when it opens?

That unit has a green parking brake input wire that needs to see ground before the screen will be allowed to work (for safety reasons).

The green wire is grounded and the screen opens but stays black.
