I have this mirror I picked up from eBay . it is supposed to be from a 2012 Camaro with backup camera. It uses the new small 10 pin connector but the pinout I have for the 10 pin connector does not have any video in wiring. I have also read that the 2012 Camaro does not have a switched power at the mirror making me believe this is a data bus mirror. Does any one have any info on a pinout for these mirrors?

I don't know if you've looked but there seem to occasionally be Gentex threads in the General Discussion Forum.
Fleabay? That's doomed you from the start.

Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Seems not much is known about this mirror yet. Looks like most everyone doing add on back up cameras and wanting to keep Onstar is using the older 16 pin mirrors which are an easy install. When I get time I will take the unit apart and try to figure it out.

Just an update I finally hooked the mirror up. I connected pin 1 to lan at obd2 port pin 5 to ground and 10 to +12v and video to 6&7 and the 2 Onstar wires and it works great.

Hey, I just bought one too. I have a 2011 2LT Camaro RS Convertible and was hoping you might share more about your connections. Please explain the Pin 1 modification for me more clearly. Did you run a lead to the OBD Connector under the steering wheel? Also the Onstar wires were connected with the camera leads to 6 & 7? Was a Diode needed? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for pioneering this!

Yes Pin 1 is the GM LAN connection I connected it to the OBD connector by the steering wheel it is Pin 1 on that connector as well ( mine was a green wire)

The Onstar wires go on pins 3 &4 3-is the Keypad signal and 4-Keypad voltage (if you have the 16 pin plug Voltage is pin 12 and signal is pin 11)

6 & 7 are the Video signal 6 is video (+) 7- is Video(-)

5 & 10 are the Input Power 5- is Ground and 10 is +12V

My factory mirror plug did not have +12 v Battery feed so I got power from the Map light circuit.

I didn't need any diodes.

Hope this helps

Does anyone know if this mirror will work in any car, thinking about buying one. I don't really care for the onstar feature as long as I can use the camera and auto dimming features, also any idea where I can get the wiring harness.tnx
