There should be a parking brake wire on the unit. It is a wire that is to be hooked up to the parking brake wire that goes to ground when the car is stopped. (safety device)Find this wire and hook it straight to ground and you will have a picture. Good luck with it.

no this is a alpine peice there is two wires., and now you cant just hook it up to ground it has to be hooked to the brake wire and to either the parking brake or a switch., that flips it between ground and nothing.

these wires a yellow/blue and yellow black. the yellow blue wire is the possitive side you can either hook thei up to cold side of foot brake of with a momentary wsitch that is fed from a 12 volt source. not ground. and the yellow/black wire either has to be hooked up to the hand brake wire or a toggle swtich with the other end of the toggle switch connected to ground and what you would have to do is with a push button pos switch is push the button hold it and flip the switch three times leaving it in the on postion. and then let go up push button or .. if your connected to foot brake than push brake flip toggle three times leaving it in the on pos and let go of brake .....make sure your video is ok the 1003 only has one video input you have to make sure video is ok. try hooking video straight to the iva it self not through any rca or anything   any more help email me.
