I've installed the Compustar Dash CD-3200 camera's in about a dozen of our local cab companies vehicles. The owner recently approached me concerned about not being able to see whats going on in the cab at night.

So I used my prowerbrobe to turn on a Chinese IR light that contained 48 IR's in the vehicle at night (2003 chevy suburban). All the IR's seemed to illuminate because of their red tint. The light was directional and seemd like I'd have to install six of these per cab to achieve what he desired but I dont even know if that would work.

Im not extremely familiar with IR's or achieving night vision. Does this camera have a IR filter that would detract from the IR light I powered up? Anyone ever used IR LED strips? Is there a better night vision option with the camera I have than IR's?
