I wish to add a navigation unit to my '09 Ford Escape Hybrid Limited. High on my wish list is the hybrid power flow display that's part of the oem systems.

Since there are many similar oem systems that are not compatible, I need to determine the part numbers of the factory units that are compatible. I understand Ford has a system that, if provided with the VIN, can list the compatible units. However, a Ford Dealer I called about this said it can't be done that way. Is there a place where I can use the VIN to look up the part numbers?

There are businesses on eBay offering compatible oem units, but I don't want to spend as much as their prices, typically $1400 US or more for just the unit, not a kit.

I'd be happy to install an aftermarket nav unit IF it supported SYNC, voice controls, steering wheel controls etc. and was capable of displaying the hybrid power flow. I've heard some aftermarket units can do this, but I doubt that because there would be a virtually non-existent market for the hybrid feature.

Any assistance sorting this out would be appreciated.
