Hey Jake, did you go through the parking brake & foot brake sequence to engage the safety bypass for the DVA5200 ??

Yes I did. I have video, it just won't start playing. The Intro for the DVD starts, and gets to the title/menu section where you have to push play. I push play and "not Valid" appears at the top and the DVD doesn't start. Jason

Whenever this happens to me on my DVA5200, that means that I tried to press PLAY too soon and the function is disabled until the menu finishes it's course. Also, are you using the long flat remote control from the DVA5200 to play the DVD ?

No just using the controls on the CVA1005 headunit. Jake

try using the long flat remote from the DVA package. This will work for you.

ok I'll try it. But any other ideas ? I thought you were supposed to be able to control from the head unit? Jake

Only certain functions are available to the CVA1005 . Otherwise all the functions are controlled through the DVA remote control.
