My rearview monitor for my backup camera will not trigger when shifting in reverse. I was wondering if there was a way to wire a relay for it to work again. The rearview monitor powers on manually and will show the image while in reverse gear(if powered on manually).

If the reverse lights on your vehicle are working, why is that reverse voltage not getting to your mirror?

Yes the reverse lights are working, thats the first thing I checked...I thought maybe there was some kind of reverse trigger/relay inside the rearview mirror/monitor itself that maybe went bad.

Did you check voltage on reverse wire at the mirror?
