No audio from Nav system

I have the alpine IVA-C801 and the alpine NVE=N852A.   My problen is that i do not get any audio from the navigation because i am using external amps.  Can i use the IVA-C801 amp for the front speakers or can i just splice the speaker wire from the C801 brain into the speaker wire coming from the external amp.  Sorry if this does not make sense.

All you need is a Navigation adaptor plug, don't remember the part # right off hand but you can go to your local Alpine dealer and tell them you need the Navigation adaptor from an older Nav system to you 801, then you can hook up and control your nav directly from your unit including sound through the system
