Hi guys, I was thinking about installing either 2 video screens drop down from the roof or two headrest screens, which one is eaiser to do??
How big of a hole do I have to make in the headliner for the drop down screens? Is it dependent on screen size??
This may sound like a stupid question but how do you run the wires down the back of the seat for the headrest monitors?? do you have to cut a channel or something??
Whats the best brand for monitors?? I want the quality to be just as good or better than my clarion VRX925VD
THANKS!!
-Chad
The easiest would be the flip downs. Yes the hole depends on what the monitor needs for mounting. Basically to run the wires throught the seat is just that, the seat is not solid foam, it is mostly hollow on alot of vehicles. Montior selection is on you, but I like the clarion monitors.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
www.audionmore.com has some cheap prices on vehicle specific head rest tv's. Thats probably the easiest and best way to go
Thanks guys was just wondering about that...i guess if i was smart enough i could have just pulled out my headrests and check my self

actually, headrests might be easier.. the main thing about them that seemed intimidating was hacking into your headrest. now there are companies out there that make them pre-fab. if there's a best buy near you, go in and ask to see their epik system. all you do is order a kit, and it comes with two preassembled headrests (each with a 7" widescreen lcd), two wireless headphones, a dvd player, and all the other stuff you need.
it's a pretty sweet set, and the best part is if your rig's a lease, you can pull them right back out and slap your old headrests right back in. i work at a best buy, and we ordered a set for an escalade... they came with an exact color/material match, they even had the cadillac emblem stitched on the front like the stock ones did. the systems run $1500 for the package, too
clarion 7" screen was $500 bucks by itself... dvd's between $250-$500.... labor to hack a headrest $200 a piece.... replacement headrest when lease is up $75 - $150 a piece... add that up, then look at epik.
