of course, there is a minor problem... there is no parking brake on a camper. can anyone tell me if there is a way to bypass the "green" wire to unlock the video output?   thanx

hey farfromnormal, i have been waiting for some input on that deck. if you can help me out, it would be great.

does it display anything on the tv screen when playing normal music cd's and mp3 cd's?
does it display mp3 text at all?
does it have a user interface that displays on the tv screen, or do you just navigate through menus on the decks display?

thanks for any info you can provide.

Grounding the green wire will allow video images to be shown at all times

Does anyone else have input on this deck? Does it play VCD/SVCD cd's? And how about answering aggie's questions?

hey Psch91, i went to pioneer's website, and you can get the owner's manual from there. i checked it out, and it appears that it does show cd text on a connected screen, but doesn't display everything at once, and same goes for mp3 text. i'm not sure about what it displays on the decks lcd, but the manual shows what the connected screen displays. as for vcd's, i don't remember, but yeah, check out the manual.
it seems like a good deal, the cheapest indash mp3/dvd player made by a major company, so i'm probably gonna get this one, but i'm also trying to look into it first. probably going to listen to some lower model pioneer decks in the stores since they have about the same specs. since i'm not entering any shows or anything, this seems like a good candidate for my car. after any of you look at the manual, tell me what you think about it.

According to Pioneer, the green wire suppose to connect to the (+) side of the parking brake.  In which case, will grounding the wire work?

Gounding the wire works like a charm!
