We just finished installing a Blaupunkt Nav unit, the Travel Pilot DX-V.  We wired it up just like the instructions say to in the manual, VSS wire, Reverse light Wire, 12V Constant, Ignition, Ground, and connected the video cables.  When we turned the unit on, it starts up, and then shows an intro display, but it's in German.  We had it translated and it said that this is a function overview, and to push the clear blue button.  Well we did what it said, and the button just truns off the monitor.  Well none of the other buttons on the remote work, and on the monitro only the brightness, contrast, and monitor on/off works, the mode and source buttons don't.  Since none of the buttons are working we can't switch it to English.  Anyone ever dealt with any problems like this?

Thank you

J.D.

You're going to have to look for a reset button, follow instrucions on reseting the system it "should" give you more options when it starts back up.
