Hello,

I have no skills in installing mobile electronics.  I have a black box so I can bypass the Alpine brake mechanism.  I was wondering who in the D/FW area might be able to install this in a 2001 Z71 Tahoe??

I really don't want to screw it up b/c I don't know what the heck I am doing.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I live in the d/fw area and installed the black box in my car, but I didn't like it so now I have toggle swithes for my Alpine..

There is NOTHING to hooking up the Black Box and it is FAR more convenient than a toggle switch..  You can always put a toggle on the Black Box to turn it off and on if that is a concern...  Email me if I can 'talk' you through it..  bcox@bellsouth.net

we use a module from Pac its called a TR-7 and it bypasses the brake wires everytime you power up the headunit, works great , no toggle switches or pressing of breaks, the install is pretty easy but the programing is a bit of a pain, once you study the  programming guide it comes with its pretty straight forward.
