What exactly does a TV Tuner do?  I keep hearing about them and I dont know what they are?  thanks im a newbie.

Most in-car video systems, dvd players, and vcr don't have the ability to watch regular television on them. So you have to buy an additional "tv tuner" to be able to watch regular television.

so u just hook the TV Tuner up to the video input on the monitors?   do u need an antenna also, and if you do, where do you mount the antenna?  thanks for the help

Most come with antennas, they usually go on the back window or side windows in suvs. They just supply an output so yes, all you do is plug it in to the monitor.

does the antenna go on the inside or outside of the window.  if on the outside, how do u run the wire to the antenna?
