I have 4 monitors and a power convertor spliced into the same power cord.  The power cord is coming from the 12v acc from the back of my head unit.  Could this be why my monitors look dull and not good quality.  Because I bought very good tft active matrix screens.

i think four monitors and a power converter is too much of a load for the acc wire.  Switch your power source.  I usually run a 10g wire from the batt. for a converter, fused under the hood.  Aslo, how are you distributing the video signal for your monitors?  You might need a video amp.

You have a way too big load for all of those things.  I'm not a pro, but you can damage your equipment if you do this.  I've heard of people taping into the fuse box, but now a days that is frowned upon.  You might just want to run a 10 guage power cable like he says, but then you run into other problems.  See my post under zeiden.
