Hello everyone

I am in need of some help I have tried talking to Pioneer and thats a waist of time and I have talked to chrysler, and man even a bigger waist of time. I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M and I just installed a Pioneer AVIC-80DVD system along with the AVH-P6500DVD, it is all installed but  for a Pink wire (Car speed signal input wire) off of the Nav unit. The manual tells me it needs to be hooked up to the Speed Detection Circuit Lead .Can someone help me please?

Thank you for taking your time to read this

David

If you have a multimeter then pull the instrument cluster and test for a wire that shows ground or nothing. You will have to move the car forward and backward, while moving the car the wire should go between ground and nothing. Also if you look at the diagram section of the site you will find the wiring info. Here is what is says "VSS Lead WHITE/ Orange Pin66 at ECM Black 40 Pin Conn. left Front Quarter".

Hello Auex

I wanted to thank you again for your help, The VSS wire indeed was the one you told me, "VSS Lead WHITE/ Orange Pin66 at ECM Black 40 Pin Conn. left Front Quarter". The Nav unit is now hooked up and works like a charm. I have searched the web for days and days for info sites on wireing and hookups but found none that helped untill I found this site :)

Thanks again for your time and energy

David
