Can ne one out there help me with this, how to watch dvd's on nav in a 2004 mazda RX8, I am not worried about watching while going down road, just want to be able to watch while sitting still. I tried appling p-brake while sitting still and engine running , but nothing.. The car is a manual transmission, if that ne thing to do with it. When u try to wathc dvd on screen it just says no dvd-rom disk on screen tried 3 different dvd's.. PLZ help ne info would help. THX in advance

It is not a dvd player, it is a nav. It is only designed to read dvd-roms. IT WILL NOT PLAY DVD'S.

Ditto on what auex states. Most of the nav units read DVD Rom software used with the navigation system. Not DVD movies.

go to www.nav-tv.com they may have an interface which will let you watch dvd's by adding a aux input to your navigation. You would have to add a dvd player though.
