does anyone know  the colour and location of the vss on a lincoln towncar 89-90  i would be most grateful.

Try to find something that looks like a spark plug on the outside of the trans. it should be there, confirm with a dmm.

On this old of a vehicle, it may not have a VSS wire. Can you tell if the vehicle has a cable driven speedometer?

thanks.the clocks are digital got two plugs on the back. and one on the front . looked at gearbox found poss location for.speedo drive plastic plug and to left were two wires difficult to see i take it those were for the reverse gear switch .not sure.need to get better look .
