well i bought an "add a circuit fuse" found here: https://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=071-580

i want to install an lcd to my car and a dvd player...

how do i connect the lcd + wire to this thing? or do i even need this thing?

the dvd player has a cigarrete lighter adapter... so i guess i can connect that there but the lcd is the problem for me... Someone told me to draw power from the battery... how is this done? what wires or accessories do i need to get?

thanks!

you can use that but for powering an LCD and DVD both i would say go with a relay...or a switch if you don't mind switching it all the time

the cigarrette lighter adapter you can cut, on most the wire with the line is + ,but to be sure unscrew the adapter and look (wire that runs to the sides is - and the one that is the "nipple" is +  ) everything is powered with 12 volts...if you don't use your add a fuse then make sure you use a fuse somewhere within a foot of your power connection. you'll probably have to cut some wires, i don't know of any adapters or anything that do what you are looking to do...if in doubt you may just want to take it down to the shop and let them do it, you don't want to do something that is going to end up burning wires...or possibly even your whole car   posted_image
