I'm installing a Pioneer in- dash 910 Nav system in a 2000 Tahoe and  I've hit a small roadblock. The monitor is bumping the gear shift lever when the car is in the park position as it is motoring out from the dash.  I need to find a  1/2 inch clearance somewhere or I'll be stuck pulling the gear shift towards me everytime I turn on the radio. Any solutions guys?

That pioneer screen has a function where you can leave the screen out at all times. Thats what i did for my pioneer screen for the same truck. just a option
