Was wanting to get a power inverter for my 2003 ram diesel. Will be putting a video system in and want to add a ninetendo. Any suggestions on what to look for in specs and brands? Industrial strength. thanks again. great forum?

Coleman makes an awesome 2-outlet power inverter.  I have one.  I got it from Target for $29.99.  I also think PepBoys runs it on special occasionally at $29.99.  It's a 400W continuous Power Inverter (800W peak) and I've used for everything from my VCR to electric reversible drill to jigsaw to rotozip!

You might also be able to get one of the SIMA brands dirt cheap as well.  But they all require a cig light adapter.

The coleman can either be a cig adapter or direct wire to battery...i cut off the battery clamps and hardwired it to my amplifier distrobution block.  lol.

I second the Coleman unit. Small and cheap. Got mine at Cosco for the same price. Only downside is there arent any mounting tabs to bolt it in place. Looking to remote the on/off switch as we speak....

not sure if your here in canada

but canadian tire has a motomaster 700w on for $99.00cdn

i picked one up for my 4x4 and the thing runs my 120v handy arc welder and 41/2 angle grinder (not at same time obviously) although higher draw items require a higher engine revolution.
