I have this same setup.  You may need to change your video settings. Mine worked ok the first time.  But I have burned up TWO ps2 in the past week!!  I can't figure out why?

make sure your inverter has a good ground if not it will try to find a ground through the video cables and will cause it to burn up

hey G20 Sport 2002

I have the same problem with interference on my Pioneer avh-p6400cd when running my ps2.  Looks like you solved your problem.  I tried grounding my inverter well and it still hasn't solved the interference.  You said you ground the "Video cable"?  Can you explain what exactly you did.  thanks

Make sure that the grounding point for the inverter is an absolute ground ( free of dirt, paint & grease ) the more that is between your grounding point and the wire, the more distortion you will get from the inverter. Also, make sure that you are not running any power wires near your video cables otherwise you will induce distortion through the cable.

I've tried an absolute ground but it does nothing when i run a ps one of of the inverter it works fin no interference at all, but with the ps2 it's horrible.  When i use a wall outlet to run the ps2 it's perfect, i can't figure this thing out for the life of me,  HELP!!!!

so the interference is cause by a bad ground, what if the your still using it off the cig lighter, some say to get better cables and it work, and some say it didnt work with better cables

Make sure that you are sharing the same ground for the inverter as you are the video source. The shorter the ground is for the inverter the better the ground.

I have the video source grounded,  The problem is that i get interference on the screen while using the inverter but not when using a wall socket.

I've tried it all i'm not runnign any power wires near the inverter, i'm using the same wire for the video ground as the inverter ground i still get nothing but distortion on the screen white lines and humming.  The other two people on here fixed theres but i have no hope for mine!!

Hey everyone,

I talked to my local installer and he helped me solve the interference problems I was having on my display while running my ps2.  He simply grounded the video cable by wrapping a ground wire around the exposed connection on the yellow rca jack and ran that to a ground.  This eliminates any remaining interference running through the video cable which goes to your display.  So make sure this ground and the ground for the inverter are good and hopfully this will solve everyones interference problems.

You that the yellow video cabel that you connect the back of your PS2 and where that cable and the cables for the lcd connect you wrap a striped electrical wire around the exposed metal part of it then ground that wire

instead wraping a wire around a video cable, can use a Y-adapter rca, which u plug the video cable in one end and the ground wire to the other end, will this work?
