I am using a power inverter to convert 12 volt to 110 volt.

First you are probly using a 12v dc to ac adaptor for your power

if you are then you must ground the RCAs for the ps2 then if will work

You can find out if it is the power inverter giving you problems or not. Just run an extensoin cord from the house into your car and plug the PS2 into that for power. Then plug the output from the PS2 into the monitor and see if you get a picture. If you do then your problem is in the power inverter. if you still don't get a picture try plugging the PS2 into another monitor or T.V. I have a PS2 powered by an inverter and into four monitors and I didn't have to "ground" my RCA's. Good luck!!

Screw the converter and convert the PS to run off 12volt. Did it to mine and it works better than before!

I heard you can do but I am not sure where to connect the wires inside of the PS2. How did you figure it out and/or where did you connect yours at?? The help would be greatly appreciated because my inverter draws more current than the PS2 and so when I sit and watch movies my battery drains real fast because of the inverter, so It wold help to reduce the current draw by hooking the PS2 directly to 12 volts.
