I've seen numerous replies from other post just stating "firewall wire harness, inside, driver side, gray/blk"
If someone could please explain to me exactly where or what size wire it is id greatly appreciate it.
In the main harness coming in from that side, there are TWO gray/black wires in that harness, both very small compared to the rest of the bundle, and the one I did try to hook into doesnt work. Just wanna make sure I'm getting the right place before I try and butcher up the other one.
The location I'm showing is on the passenger side of the engine compartment at the 104 pin connector. Position 58 or 68.
If your not sure if it is the correct wire break out your multimeter and set it to read AC voltage. Clip your black lead to a good ground and your other lead to the suspected wire. Let the truck roll forward a little bit and the wire should jump up to about volt or so and get higher and lower depending on your speed.
CAUTION! It's very easy to concentrate more of the meter than your driving so you may want to have someone else with you to watch the meter so you don't crash the truck even though you only have to let it roll forward a bit.
Let it roll at least a good 10 ft or so then give it a little bit of throttle to see if the reading goes up.. Stop the truck and the reading should fall back down close to zero. Only letting it move a few feet most likely will not provide an accurate reading.

I finally found that also from a full pinout of the 104 connecter/PCM. Same thing, shows pins 58 and 68.
I'm trying to keep everything in the cab for a bit cleaner install. What about the 2 harnesses for the instrument cluster? Anyone have a pin-out of those. I'm thinking if I can tap into the signal that moves the speedo from behind there, I can keep everything hidden up in the dash with no extra wiring visible under the hood and stuff.
1 Last thing also, if maybe anyone can make a guess...... I'm trying to install a Harman Kardon traffic pro nav unit. Everything is connected now except for the speed sensor wire which isnt working at this point like I mentioned. Is it possible that the reverse signal wire works in conjunction with the speed sensor wire, as in one wont work right without the other? Reason I ask is the reverse wire is good all the way to the harness, but the unit so far thinks the truck is always in reverse. Specs in the manual calls for +12 to +16 VDC while in reverse and 0VDC when not in reverse which is obvious. With the harness removed from the back of the unit, the pin does in fact get 12VDC in reverse and nothing in any other gear on the multimeter. I don't know why the receiver insists it is in reverse all the time unless it needs signal from the speed sensor also to help trigger the change.
