Hi all,

I've seen several topics on overiding the parkng break inorder to get the front navigation screen to show DVD's but I have not seen any solutions to this. Has anyone had success in doing this?

The only way that I could think of is to ground the parking brake wire.

Is this the OEM system or an aftermarket system ?

itmdtr: From other posts I've read it appears the system also does not operate when the vehicle is moving.

Velocity Motors: It is the factory installed OEM system.

It's not that simple. The OEM system doesn't have RCA wires to attach a video input signal to. You will have to hard wire the video signal to the OEM system and then bypass the security features so that the video is feed through and you can view video while driving.

No it doesn't just take a ground. The screens also work off of the vss system and if the vehicle is moving at all then the screen doesn't work.

So how would you bypass this security feature and not cause any problems anywhere else in the vehicle?

No sure ?? posted_image Some installer's have done this by hardwiring into the DVD player and bypassing with resistors ,caps and relays, but I have never done this before.
