I am hooking up an in dash monitor, 2 headrest screens, a FM mod, Video amp and DVD. Where should I draw power. I was thinking of running leads directly from the battery fused. Is this ok or does anyone have any better suggestions. Thanks.

That would be a good source. Use a 10 guage wire and run it to a central location that all the devices can split from that spot.

The remote wire is your system turn on wire. This wire will have 12 volts on it when your system activates and carries 12 volts to turn on any device that it is hooked up to that requires a 12 volt turn on signal.

That's pretty vague. Don't want to tell you something and find out that it's wrong.........sooooooo, what unit do you have and also did it not come with an installation manual ?

No manual, its a legacy indash 5.6 screen ,  green shows brake switch, blk is neg red is power and yellow is also power, but when i connect them that way the clock stays on all the time the diagram shows a red wire from batt to unit with a light bulb type picture in between them. Does this help?

Green goes to ground ( IF THIS IS FOR THE HAND BRAKE )

BLACK -goes to ground as well

RED - If you have this going to a constant power wire, switch it to an ignition switched wire.

YELLOW - Traditionally this is the constant wire but to be sure, switch betweent he ignition wire and constant. If you loose memeory on the clock, then this is the constant wire and the RED is the switched.
