Sup...I installed a soundstream sunvisor tv. Ran the power and ground to the power and ground that was used for my light that was in my sunvisor. I used the xbox as a video source. Monitor powers on fine, however the problem is the picture is flickering vertically. Any suggestions. Please help me so I can have a banging system and post pictures asap. Also I'm getting a lot of feed back in my speakers. I unhooked my 6x9s and eliminated major feedback but I still get feedback turning on my engine and pushing the gas...My mechanic told me that the feedback in the 6x9s is caused by my head unit because when he unpluged the rcas the 6x9s were working fine. Can someone please help me.

Make sure that your head unit ground is good and on a clean metal surface. Also, run the RCA wires on opposite sides of your power wires. The amplifier ground should also be less than 3 feet and conencted to a clean, dirt free surface for lowest resistance to ground on the car.

Do you think a video amplifier would get rid of the flickering in my sunvisor monitor

No, the flickering is caused by interference and a video amplifier will only make the signal stronger, but will do nothing for the interference.

I have read somewhere that a weak video signal will cause this, but don't see how you would have a weak video signal being that the visor is directly connected to the x-box.

I have known people to get interference from the type of inverter that they are using as well.  What is your inverter rated at and where is it grounded?

probably, but it could be your power inverter some have been known to cause that.

that can be caused buy the week signal on an xbox i have had the problem before with a headrest monitor ,but i would move the rca away from the power like he said and use a good sheilded rca for your video patch cable.

MAke sure that you sand and take off all the paint where you have grounded your ground you need to make the ground the closest possible to the monitor that is the reason you are getting the flickering

also, above you stated that you ran the rcas down the side of your car along with the power wire.  Now this will cause a for sure interference with the video quality, and will cause lines.  Make sure that right out of the visor you run the power wire one way and the RCAs the other.

seperate the power wires from the video cables and use a nice sheilded cable for the video with a video amp if all the first things do not fix it.

I installed two visor monitors in my jeep and one was doing the same thing. All I did was unplug the video where it connected up in the A pillar, then re-connected it and it worked fine. If that doesn't do anything then definitely make sure the ground checks out.
