I am installing headrest monitors in a 2004 ESV.

Anyone got any quick tips on what type of "fishing tool" to use to get the wires from the headrest through the seats to the bottom?

I was thinking of a hanger, but was wondering if they sell a special tool for this?

Thanks in advance for the tips.

There is a tool - called a 'fish tape' - made specifically for what you describe.  It is a reel of steel tape with an eye on the end either wound from the tape or in a separate piece attached to the end of the reel.  It can be found at most hardware stores and wil run from $15 to $50 (as with most tools quality/value/price).

I just recently installed monitors in the headrests of my Tahoe and used the fish tape both under the seat fabric and under the carpet.  It worked very well and as a matter of fact, the entire install went much more smoothly than I anticipated.  As is typical with many of my DIY endeavors, the second headrest went three times as fast and was three times easier.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info,

I am going to go to the hardware store and buy me one today.

Once again, thanks.
