I recently bought this unit for a private seller. The install manuel show a red wire as usual, but on my harness, there is no red wire, but there is a ORANGE / white(ILL), but this wire is not listed on the install manuel.

there you can access Pioneers Manuals. I see on the 6500DVD there is a ORANGE / White for Illum., but the 7300DVD only should have RED / BLACK / YELLOW as well as the AV connections for Rear..

I check these out and it looks like I recieved the harness for the avx-7300, not the avx-p7300dvd. So I order a new one from pioneer. Hopefully it will be the right one. Thanks forthe help.

I just went through the same thing. You don't have the correct harness. If you want to just use the one you have and match up the wires, here's the correct wiring for the avx-p7300dvd

conector away, clip on top: top left to right , black, n/u, green, white(left audio out),black(shieid), black (shield), black(shield),white(avm video out) then bottom row left to right: yellow(batt), ORANGE / white(ill),pink(audio signal out), black(shield), white(video input), black(shield), white(rear vedio out)
