I hav found no problems with all the Pioneer units that I sell and install. I have not isntalled or sold any Kenwood monitors before so this is probably a biased opinion. Nonetheless, Pioneer has been bullet proof for us here.

Ok , thank you for the opinion.

I had both Pioneer / Kenwood head units until now and I also think about Pioneer but Kenwood looks more cool.
Pioneer unit looks to say so .. without shape , or style.

Anybody else pro / against the Pioneer / Kenwood ?

I sell the pioneer stuff and have sold the Kenwood stuff in the past. The pioneer has been 100% bullet proof where as the Kenwoods track record was almost perfect, I think I had 2 come backs the entire time I sold it. Realistically I think that either unit is gonna be fine for you and if you get one that gives you trouble then its just horrible luck. However if you plan on using the internal amplifiers on the deck I would suggest the pioneer deck because I find the internal amps have a much nicer sound to them.

I have the DDX7015 with the KNA-DV3100 and I love it.  I didnt' want the flip screens because I was thinking that the flipping was the one point of failure.  I opted for the fixed screen instead.  I'm happy with the DDX7015.  I had the AVIC-80DVD previously, but while the POI and streets were more accurate on the Pioneer (the Kenwood keeps trying to get me to go up the wrong side of the street), the Pioneer unit always seems to wander off the beatened path after I exit a tunnel.  The Kenwood stays on track better and is visually more appealing.  Personal preference really, but I did try both so I can give an unbiased opionion.

Thank you all.
I was thinking of a combination line KVT-715 / 815 with the KNA or DDX.

I will never use a Kenwood amplifier so the new amp control is not something I need.

Until now I have like 2 pro pioneer and 1,5 pro Kenwood.
Interesting ...
