Hello all,

I just purchased a pair of headrest monitors for my SUV, but I am wondering the best way to power the monitors. If it is best to run wires straight from the battery, does anyone know the best place to run wires from the engine into the inside? Is there some access gromet available? I wish that I had a service manual to reference but I don't.

I also need to power an Xbox and a tuner. I anticpate using an iverter for those parts unless a better idea is out there.

Thanks in advance,
Keith

You could just go to the main Ignition wires under the driver side dash. If you get power from the battery everything will always remain powered and you might kill your battery. Hook up to an accessory wire under the dash which is probably brown in color and make sure you put a fuse inline with your power wires.

Anyone care to share a way to run power from the battery to the accessories?

I have an 02' Tahoe with a similar setup.  I ran main power from the battery to a switched distribution block under the rear seat.  The block gives me the ability to run 6 devices that require accessory power.

How did you run the wire? How did you get it from under the hood to inside the cabin?
