Can you actually stick DVD's in this thing or is this just a monitor that requires a DVD player as well??

Also they aren't selling this in New Zealand yet, is it compatible over here (think australia)

Yes, it plays dvd's from the actual headunit.

You may want to look into the dvd regional settings.
