I'm new to this site. I have a 93 prelude vtec. I'm planning to have an in-dash monitor (5 inch). It will be behind a tinted glass so i can not press any of the buttons. I found several monitors that will fit in that area, but i want to know does a monitor usually have a remote wire? I can't actually press a button to turn it on, so i need to know if i can turn it on without actually pressing a button. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

I have a Necvox 5" screen and it comes with a IR remote to turn it on and off with.

Why not just wire it to the ignition same way as stereo, then it will turn on and off same

as your head unit does?

Most monitors do require a turn on button. They just get power from the remote turn on lead and the power wire. For the ones that DO require a push to turn it on, then just take the switch out and attach it somewhere outside of the monitor.
