I have installed a Myron Davis 10" flip down TV (ATV-104FB) in a 2003 Ford Expedition.  In addition to the TV, I installed a DVD player (AD-183) and FM modulator (ANT-108).  The system is currently getting engine feedback noise.

I wanted to get some suggestions prior to troubleshooting the vehicle.  Some of my thoughts include using a noise filter, or running the power and ground directly to the battery versus using the wires behind the radio.

Any suggestions?????

Make sure that you do not have any power wires running along side the RCA/Video wires. Also, shorten your ground as much as possible for the DVD & monitor, less distance means less resistance.

Use a power line filter on the ignition wire feed to ALL components in the video system. Ground all components to one spot. Install a RCA style ground loop isolator between the FM modulator and everything else in the audio stream (DVD and screen) Doing these three things should eliminate the noise.
