Has anyone ever had a problem with their vizualogic monitors, where they blank out and only show a white screen? When this happens, the only way to turn them off is to turn off the truck or disconnect the power, the remote doesn't work.

Here is the problem:

When I turn the key on my truck to ignition (don't turn on the engine) Both monitors come on without problems and I can watch both screens as long as I want.  When I turn on the engine the monitors will stay on for about  30 seconds and then both screens go white and I can't control them with the remote. After trying several different patterns to turn them on, such as leaving them on before starting the truck and not turning them on until after I start the truck, I found that If I only keep one monitor on at time it will stay on as long as I want. It's not until I turn on the 2nd monitor that 30 seconds later they both go white. It doesn't matter which screen I leave on, monitor 1 or 2, as soon as I turn on the other one the screens go white.

setup:

I have both monitors hooked up to one A/V module (the one that comes with the vizualogic package) and I have a dvd player hooked up to input2. My PS2 is going to hook up to input 1 when I get a chance. I also have a factory flip down monitor hooked up to the dvd player. It keeps playing without any flaws no matter if the vizualogic screens go white or not.

I would appreciate any help I could get,

Thanks

check all your connections, especially ground, if it persists it will be a issue with the AV module.

What wire do you have for the remote turn on for the entire video system ? Sounds like there is too much current on the remote turn on lead for the system to handle.

The vizualogic monitors do not have a remote turn on. They hook up 12 constant, 12 ignition, and ground only.

The constant and ignition are hooked up directly to fuse box. They are not hooked up to the factory-flip down monitor or the dvd player. The only hook up from the dvd player is rca cables. I have it hooked up to where the vizualogic screens can be turned on even if the factory flip down monitor is not, and vice versa.

The vizualogic system I bought came with two av boxes, each able to control 2 monitors. I have tried them both with the same results.

Thanks for the reply. Any other suggestions will help.

Are you splitting the video signal between the 3 screens?  You might want to try and hooking up a video amp.  Also if you have no problems when the engine is off, I would try another power source for the accessory wire.  Try going directly to the ignition harness of the car.  Make sure that you fuse all of your connections that go to the harness though.

What kind of car do you have?
