Ok Clarion experts, this one is for you. I just recently acquired a Clarion DVS 9755z DVD unit to install in a 01 suburban. I am re-doing the entire system with Infinity Kappa components, 10.4 inch fold down screen, Hifonics and Pheonix Gold Amps, and JL subs. I want to integrate the DVD player with a Clarion head unit, and need suggestions about which unit to buy. I would like to buy a motorized LCD head unit with touch screen, but the only ones in Clarion's line that fits these qualities already have a DVD player in the unit which seems like overkill. Also, my Clarion unit already has a cd/MP3 player, 5.1 processor and DTS decoder, so DVD operation and sound will have to be run from it. The only true reason I am looking for another head unit is for local am/fm and satellite Radio. I would like to have a screen up front, but it is not necessary. Any suggestions are appreciated. I realize I may be stuck with overkill but I thought you guys would know best. Also, I am not opposed to buying used so if there is something from last year's Clarion line that would work, let me know. Thanks for the help.

the trouble will be having the touch screen control the dvd unit... unless they are made for each other.... it will never work.... you might be stuck with that ugly clarion remote...grin -------------

True, it is a funky remote, but with the C-net connection, will it not control the functions of the dvd player from the touch screen, or do the Clarions not work similar to the Alpines? Don't really know, this is my first experience with the Clarion brand.
