I just installed an xo vision wireless modulatior in my 2004 Tahoe and I am getting mostly static on my car stereo system. The stereo is OEM . My question is will a ground loop isolator solve this problem or is there something else I need for this. Thanks in advance

It would probably help, but any fm mod is notorious for static and engine noise. You should definately look into what is called as "auxilary input adapter". This will plug into the cd changer control port on the back of the factory radio and will feed the audio signal directly to the radio.

forget the ground loop isolator-they do the job not what you want. auex is right. I have an '02 tahoe and bought the PAC "Auxiliary Audio Input Interface." even my father-in-law notices the difference when we play dvds in the truck now.

Where can I buy one for JVC radio (auxilary input adapter) can any one help me with link i have same problem as timkim6890.

I've been using wireless fm mods for a few months now, without any problems. I was skeptical at first because of my experience with the other wireless fm mods. I encountered the same problems that you were having. Anyway, it seems that the unwired or icon wireless fm mods work pretty good. There is a trick to installing them though. I usually extend the antenna wire so that I get better/stronger reception. I also wrap the whole fm mod in black electrical tape to make sure that the casing of the metal doesn't touch any ground.
