hey i have three tvs in my ride and when i first put them in i used genric rcas like the kind you buy at walmart for 2.99. now the problem is my screens will be perfect colorthe first 10 minutes then change to black and white no matter what dvd im playing. now i know i should get some better cables and im going to today. first i will go to best buy or radio shack and get the best video rcas out there. .But the thing is im using an ps2 to play my dvds and i also am using and video amplifier the model called XoVision amp8x and its placed in the space between my radio and heater vents under the dash. now coould that be the problem or is it the cheap video cables like i think it is,.oh by the way i think the video amplifier is also cheap because i only paid 30.00 for it out of the parts express catalog.............

Have you tried replacing any of the parts? How about trying a new rca cable or bypassing the amp and run to 1 screen. You basically answered your question about what the next step should be so quit the TTT bull.

you was right about the cables cause i still have the same problem. The dvd player is an ps2 and the tvs are 2 p. digitAL and an boss one to which is the exact same thing but boss put their label on it. I guess its cause i get what i pay for so im gonna order me some new montiors that are more high quality but its gonna be hard to find 7.2 inch montiors for my headrest that are the same size when my monitors are fiberglassed in.

This is the second thread I've seen you suggest that problems experienced by one or another member could be related to "software."  Where did you get this information?  Everything I can find says that PAL is PAL and NTSC is NTSC, there is no NTSC 1.00011101.101 on a DVD player that conflicts with an LCD monitor with NTSC 1.00011101.201.  Have you personally experienced software conflicts between LCD monitors and DVD players?  If so, what components are you referring to so that others can stay away from them?  Or are you merely mistaking the terminology used to express FORMAT (NTSC vs. PAL) with the word SOFTWARE?

Skylark, I too am experiencing some issues with my system: 2 - Pyle PLVHR75 mounted in my Tahoe, Blaupunkt DVD-ME2 player feeding into a Starvision 4-output amplifier with 70 ohm cables.  I've grounded out the barrels that connect the DVD player and monitors to the video amplifier and still have color fade (with occasional black bands running horizontal across the screen).  I can usually run my system for a half hour before experiencing any problems.

I've sent the DVD player back for warranty work, and hooked up a home DVD player through a DC to AC converter.  The color fade still occurred.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it!

thats the same thing that happens to me to. my screens will be fine for 20 to 30 minutes then the color fades to black and white. then if i turn off my tvs for 5 minutes the color returns. I checked everything and still have problems and i really dont believe its because of cheap screens because i had two power accousticks 7.2 screens last year and they didnt fade.
