My question is regarding my 2000 suburban and the front headrests. I took out the passenger one so that I could begin the installation of my monitors and was confused when I started messing with it. Every tutorial that I have read always shows the headrests as having an interior of soft foam. Well the problem I ran into is that my headrests have a plastic piece in them. The headrest has 3 positions it can lock into and I am afraid this will not give me enough room for my monitors. I am installing the Alpine 7" wide monitors in the front 2. I don't want to cut anything until I find out if it is possible. Anyone with info or experience with these would be greatly appreciated.

I did a sub. the other day, you will have no promblems sinking those headrests, you'll just have to drill a hole through the plastic to run the wires down
