Ladies and Gentlemen, I am in a process of comparing between the most popular all in one indash mobile entertainment unit. What do you think about the Pioneer AVIC-N1 and Eclipse's AVN2454 unit regardless of there prices?

Havn't seen the eclipse as it is not available in the U.K , But after fitting half a dozen or so Pioneers now i have not had a single customer complaint...Ease of fitting and use is awesome......(p.s...Is AVIC-X1 in U.K)

Happy hunting

What a concept this two units have. I had just found out that this two units were both outstanding units, however, the only disadvantage among the two is the audio quality. Although, it will sound good to some people but 2 volts pre-outs was a joke to me. You will need a processor for it to sound really good.

Anyway, I have installed and played a bit with this two outstanding units to a number of cars and so far there are no comments among those people.

The Pioneer has 4 volt preouts,  dunno where you got the 2 volt thing from. They are both solid units, with the eclipse sounding better but I like the interface on the pioneer better.

I guess I do need to do my own research. This is what I get for "Following the Jones'es". But anyhow, you're right about the Pioneer 4 volts preouts. I worked for a company that provide training about the AVIC -N1 and Eclipse, and just found out about it. For the Eclipse, it would've been much better if they had the ESN feauture like what they did with their other indash units. For the AVIC, Pioneer should've added the face case like every other car stereo.

Thanks for the correction....
