what do you screw the screens shroud in to. or do you just use velcro to put it in what the best secure way?

also

in the infinity g20 on the side of the front seats it says SRS System. does this mean that there is a side air bag . can and how do i run the wires thru the seat, the same way as normall???

also can i take that seat out casue i want to put some video stuff under there. if i unplug the seat or if i unhook the battery first will it do anything to the airbags or the system

please let me know

thanks

We usually add a MDF or steel backing to the head rest so that the headrest monitor has something to grab onto but at the same time it's friction fitted to the foam part of the head rest.

You can mount the monitor with a heavy duty Velcro. As for as the g20’s seat goes it dose have a side air bag in the seat. You can safely remove the seats by 1st disconnecting the battery and then secondly disconnecting the wiring harnesses under the seats and then un bolting them. When you put the seat back in reconnect the wiring harnesses bolt the seat back in and reconnect the battery. As far as running the wires thru the seats run them on the side that faces center consul. The air bag sits on the side next to the door of the car.

Here is a link to a site that gives step by step instructions of how to install monitors in head rests https://www.partsexpress.com/tech/205-018/pages/205-018.html  hope all this info helps you good luck

DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY UNLESS THE SEAT’S WIRING HARNESS IS PLUGGED IN

Use a video swtiching module instead of splitting the signal. You will degrade the picture quality ( alot ) if you splice or even "Y" split the video RCA.

When you cut the headrest ti install the screen into, you will have to cut it smaller ( the hole ) so that when you install the screen you won't be able to see the cut marks on the front of the headrest. You will need to take out some foam and replace it with a piece of MDF the same size so taht it will friction fit into the spot. After you have the MDF board installed you can now attach the monitor to the MDF board with the screw that it comes with and tighten it down on the back.

Whatever is a solid enough to act as a backplate. You can use a hot glue gun to attach it as well if you want.

Velocity Motors has it right I cut a piece of masonite (hard board), 1/8" thick as a backer, and use spray glue to secure it to the foam. then always use a mechanical fastener to secure the screen to the backing plate. if you cut the foam slightly smaller than the screen, the combination of the spray glued backing plate, and the friction of the tight fit will hold the monitor good and tight. run all wires down the center console side of each seat, and avoid splicing if at all possible, vidio cables are usualy shielded, and video will be degraded if this shield is interupted.
