How Do You Secure Headrest TV???

what do you screw the screens shroud in to. or do you just use velcro to put it in what the best secure way?

also

in the infinity g20 on the side of the front seats it says SRS System. does this mean that there is a side air bag . can and how do i run the wires thru the seat, the same way as normall???

also can i take that seat out casue i want to put some video stuff under there. if i unplug the seat or if i unhook the battery first will it do anything to the airbags or the system

We usually add a MDF or steel backing to the head rest so that the headrest monitor has something to grab onto but at the same time it's friction fitted to the foam part of the head rest.

but do i just put velco on the back of the shroud and the other part of the velcro to the foam on the inside.. iit wil stay like this. i cant glue it or screw it to anything

also what about splicing the video wires. i know i could you a coupler. but can i cut solder, and heat shrink the video cable. will this be a factor on the quality on the screen or will it be fine . please let me know for this and the abouve post

Use a video swtiching module instead of splitting the signal. You will degrade the picture quality ( alot ) if you splice or even "Y" split the video RCA.

im am using a switcher im not splicing the wires for that im splicingthem were the wire comes into the headrest to connect to the tv i want to solder that connection is it possible and will it work. also what about the othe rquestion

When you cut the headrest ti install the screen into, you will have to cut it smaller ( the hole ) so that when you install the screen you won't be able to see the cut marks on the front of the headrest. You will need to take out some foam and replace it with a piece of MDF the same size so taht it will friction fit into the spot. After you have the MDF board installed you can now attach the monitor to the MDF board with the screw that it comes with and tighten it down on the back.

but how does the mdf stay in there just by presure

i cant put any glue or anything on it???

Friction fitted or glue if you wish.

any particulat glue like silicone or liquid nails

also can i use like a 1/8 piece of ply wood or something like that instaead of mdf casue all i have of that is 3/4?

Whatever is a solid enough to act as a backplate. You can use a hot glue gun to attach it as well if you want.
