i have a firend with a 82 chevy caprice he want to put a 14in" flip down in the top of the car but he went to a shop and they said that it would not work. is it possible to install it in the top of the car?

I cant imagine that you cant put it in this car, unless it has t-tops then it might not be possible. What it comes down to is a can do will do attitude? can they do ,will they do it. the shop just might not feal comfortable working on that particular car. check some other shops some one will do it. good luck

As long as there is a dome light or a brace in the center, it can be done. A 14" is alot for a car though.
