I had a 8 inch DVD player installed in my ceiling. Now 4 months later, two of the three pegs holding up my head liner have popped out. The same thing happened to one of my co-workers. The same shop did the installs on both vehicles. He had his head liner glued in place. Can the pegs be glued in, what other options are there?
My vehicle is a 2001 Tahoe, my co-workers vehicle is a 2003 Tahoe.
TIA,
Anthony
Sounds as is if the install shop didn't attach the unit to the cross section of the wehicle. It's too much weight for the headliner to support alone.

Do it right the first time
There should be beams in the roof that they can attach to. I would just take it back to them and have them fix it. They shouldn't have to glue anything. Sandwiching the headliner between some wood/metal and the tv itself is a common way of mounting tv's. Just like it sounds, the tv is basically hanging from the headliner and nothing else. Depending on the car and the unit installed, sometimes it works out fine and other times it's too much weight. Basically they just have to grab a beam somewhere in the roof to take some of the weight off the headliner. This applies whether the car has a sunroof or not. If your not comfortable going bcck to the shop that did it, feel free to post your location and someone might be able to recommend someone in the area. Good luck,
Mike
