When I power my monitor in the car it begins to interfere when I turn on the car... I figure its because of the alternator feeding power to the battery.... I stuck another car battery in my car and I connected the monitor to it alone and it was clear while I had the car on...

so i figure I need a constant 12V going to the monitor without anything interfereing with it... how do I do this?

is there some sort of relay what will filter out any other signals and give me a solid constant voltage?

All you need to do is use a relay that will get triggered by the ignition to get s reliable power from the battery. Use a relay wired like this:

  • 87 : Fused connection straight to battery
  • 30 : To the monitor constant power wire
  • 85 : GROUND
  • 86 : To switched IGNITION from car.
  • 87a: NOT USED
