I just upgraded my lcd from a 13.3" to a 17" lcd tv. Always had a clear sharp picture on the 13.3" screen. I'm getting some noise, or a hum on the larger screen now. (it looks like diagonal lines that run on the screen). I did a search on the forum, and found some similar questions posted. One person had a solution to ground the video RCA cable......How do you do that? Another said to ground the monitor.....How?  I'm getting all my power from an auxiulary battery(Optima, deep cycle) that came with the van(a 2001 VW Eurvan). Another post I saw suggested to get a ground loop isolator, or a video line filter. I'm a newbie--can someone give me a little more insight on how to do the above? What to try first?  Thanks....

Most high end RCA's come with a ground wire that can be grounded on each end.   A ground loop isolator will simply run between your unit and the rca's.  You can also check the settings on your new screen.  Simple adjustments will usually remove the diagonal lines.
