Hey all. I bought a Kenwood KVT-M700 unit off a friend of mine the other day. It worked 100% perfect that day. He has it proffesionally taken out so he wouldnt harm anything. I put the unit in as well as the TV tuner. I hooked up a PS2 and a DVD player as well to the AV1 and AV2 spots. Everything works fine: the tv tuner works fine, the radio works fine............but the AV1 and 2 look like scrambled pay per view. The sound is coming out fine through the AV jacks, but the picture is scrambled. Has anyone else seen this happen before. I thought it was a bad NTSC/PAL setting, but it takes both and there is no way to switch between them. This is really getting annoying. If it was a bad unit, how much do you guys think it could cost to fix this minor problem. I also thought it could be that my AC converter was too close to the RCAs, but I moved them away and it still didnt work. Please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. email me at bbussells@comcast.net.

Make sure that your source VIDEO is outputting the proper signal to the Kenwood monitor. Did you make sure that you have everything in synch ? The VIDEO output from the DVD or VHS is going to the VIDEO INPUT of the Kenwood and making sure that you are on the proper VIDEO LINE IN on the screen ?

All that stuff is fine : ( I have my home dvd player hooked to an AC inverter. Someone told me it may cause interference, but I dont know. He told me to try a 12 volt dvd player, but it should work either way I would think.
