i havent used alot,i have delorme,120,usb gps,and software.. their 'topo 5.0' allows you to dl a sat pic of a gps location..this is nice,i can drive around, and get a pic of the address..its not real time, talk to the armed forces/cia etc.. about that one,but they give you 50 bucks worth..( i havnt actually used any yet,i am saving it until i need it,i can see it being 20 bucks a pic!
if that fails i have broadband in my truck,so i goto mapquest! no gps w/mapquest,but at that point i hope i am within range of the destination!
the toposeams pretty acurate,it does a 3d map..as far as the area around my shop, there is a creek 'below' the shop, and beyond that is a house on a hill 'above'
'street atlas 7.0(i think 7?)'
seamed like a deal to me!

a little confusing, the street atlas 7.0 comes with the gps,the 'topo 5.0'is their topographic software(extra),you can dl maps into a palm computer,or use it with the gps,you can get a bluetooth adaptor for the gps,put it on a hat,and go climbing/gps'ing in real time..

Streets and Trips 2005.  I've used the 2003, thought about getting the 2004 and waited for 2005.
It's great ! Faster processing for the GPS, it'll track your progress/trail, rotate map toward direction of travel, track speed.  Here is my previous set up in my work truck-2002 Ranger:

Iguidance/Intellinav/Routis All the same. considered the best for the price. they have most of the features you would want and simple to use. Rotate map, auto recalculate route, voice, also has unique feature of 3D view of map that is very cool.  I have also used Delorme street atlas 2004. the maps are very detailed and have many options, workes with any nmea compliant gps antenna, voice command input, very detailed stuff lots of settings and ETA type info.
