I have hooked up probably 50 monitors and have found that all of them that ever have problems seem to have it in the first few days after the install if not immediatley normally in most cases I have encountered it is usually the color that goes out or the the backlight look into the monitor really close with a movie playing and see if you can see anything playing in the background.  Almost every company has 1 year replacement on it..

                                   Hope I helped!

I bought an alpine cva-1003 from someone, and I brought it to a pawn shop to see if it works. We hooked a dvd player up to it, and we heard the sound, but the screen said, "off for your safety". How can I be sure that it just needs a brake bypass? Thanks for any help.
