Good morning all, I just bought couple of 7" headrest LCDs and a portable Boss DVD player for my brother's 740 BMW. I never installed one of these before, and the problem my brother lives overseas. I'm trying to get as much information and equipment/tools before I leave to visit. I would like to know what I need to install both LCDs, DVD player and FM transmitter? What kind of cables, splitters, Video amplifiers, etc.... Where should I draw power from (concealed preferably)? Any information, tips, pointers greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gibran

Here is a quick list:
Knife - to cut headrests
Zip Ties (or screws) - to attach headrest shroud to headrests
Wire (12Ga) - I ran a separate system power from the battery [depending on the current draw, you may be able to run off a lighter line], same size for ground, too
Switch - turn system on (and don't forget to turn it off) [optional, you can tap into the ACC if you want]
RCAs - to connect the headrest monitors to the DVD (75 Ohm is optimal, but not necessary)
Video Amplifier - more than 1 monitor may degrade video quality (Y-cables if you have no other option)
The obvious electrical tools, DMM, wirestrippers (careful with the headrest power and ground, they are quite thin), electrical tape, cutters, screwdrivers, etc
Self tapping screw - for ground to the chassis for monitors
You may need male-to-male, or female-to-female RCA connects, incase your cables don't match up to your components.
If I forgot anything, everyone, throw it in. This was a quick thought.
Don't forget to fuse every power line! So you will need a fuse or 2 if the components don't come with any. Good monitors usually do, though.

Thanks a bunch for the replies - Another quick question, which distribution block should I get? I have 4 power ends I have to feed (player, 2xLCD, and FM transmiiter), any suggestions?
